Why concrete fails in North York
North York's housing runs from postwar bungalows in Willowdale and Lansing to newer infill and Yonge-corridor density — and each has its own concrete problems. What they share is Toronto's freeze-thaw winters and decades of road salt. Knowing which of these is happening to yours decides whether it's a repair or a replacement.
Aging postwar slabs
Many North York driveways and porches date to the 1950s–60s: thinner slabs, minimal reinforcement, no sealer. They've done their job — but they're past their service life and spalling.
Freeze-thaw cycles

Can my North York driveway be repaired instead of replaced?

On older Willowdale and Lansing properties that's often tree-root or settlement related, and we assess which situation you're in before quoting.
What time of year can concrete work be done in North York?
Exterior pours and most resurfacing run from roughly May through October, when temperatures stay reliably above freezing through curing. Interior work — basement floors, garage floors and epoxy coatings — carries on year-round. If waiting until spring is the better call for your job, we'll tell you rather than take it.
