Repair first — since 2015

Why we'll talk you out of a new driveway

Most concrete in the GTA gets torn out years before it has to.

It happens because the crew you called only pours new concrete. When replacement is the only thing a contractor sells, replacement is what the diagnosis finds. Nobody's lying, they just don't own a grinder.

We started TCR in 2015 doing repair and resurfacing. New pours came later. That order matters: we learned to save concrete before we learned to replace it, and we still look at every slab that way. Sometimes the honest answer is a $2,800 resurfacing instead of a $9,000 rebuild. Sometimes it's the opposite, and we'll tell you that too, with the reason, not just the number.

We're one of the few GTA companies that does repair, resurfacing and full replacement in-house — so when we assess your concrete, the recommendation isn't shaped by what we happen to be equipped for.

— The TCR team

Every quote comes back with two or three priced options and a plain-English explanation of what each one buys you and how long it lasts. You pick. Not us.

What GTA homeowners say after the job

★★★★★ 4.6 · Google 70+ Google reviews

★★★★★

They fixed another contractor's mess

"The team gave us a set of steps that are both functional and beautiful to look at. People in the area who had seen the first botched job, by another company, were suitably impressed with the finished work."

P Peter · Porch & steps · Oakville

★★★★★

We require four quotes. They won.

"As a corporate management company we require four quotes at the very minimum before any project gets approved. Hubert and his team were the perfect candidate to deliver top quality work at a reasonable cost."

S Sergiy S. · Sidewalks & curbs · Plaza manager

★★★★★

Same people, start to finish

"Top to bottom professionalism. Starting with Hubert at the initial consultation, then scheduling with Deborah was a breeze and a pleasure. And when it came time for the actual work, Sergey and his assistant were top tier."

M Margaret · Concrete repair · Toronto

★★★★★

Now the favourite room in the house

"My 70-year-old garage floor was a broken dusty wreck. They meticulously prepped and poured the new floor. It looked amazing, only to be made more amazing with the epoxy sealer."

Concrete pool deck repaired and resurfaced in Toronto by TCR

Now the pool's closed

Closing the pool? That's the time to fix the deck.

Cracked, spalling or slippery pool decks are easiest to repair and resurface with the pool shut down and the deck clear — no working around swimmers, no rushing the cure. Book it this fall and next summer you open to a finished deck that grips when wet and stays cool underfoot, instead of joining the spring rush.

Questions

The things people ask before they call us

Can my concrete be repaired, or does it need replacing?

More often than people expect, it can be saved. Surface damage — spalling, flaking, hairline cracks, staining — is usually a resurfacing or repair job at a fraction of the cost of a rebuild.

What can't be saved is concrete that has failed structurally: slabs broken clean through, sections that have sunk because the base underneath washed out, or steps pulling away from the house. That's when full replacement is the honest answer.

We do all three, so whichever one we recommend, it isn't because it's the only thing we're set up to do.

How fast can I get a quote?

If you text or upload photos, we'll usually have a written quote back to you within one business day. Three photos is normally enough — one wide shot, one close-up of the damage, and one showing the whole area.

Jobs that need a site visit — new pours, commercial work, anything where we need to check the base — get quoted within 48 hours of the visit itself.

Do I have to pay anything upfront?

No. Nothing is due when you accept the quote. The first payment is 50% on the day our crew arrives and starts work, and the remaining 50% when the job is finished.

Your quoted price is held for 21 days from the date we send it.

Why do your quotes have more than one price on them?

Because there's almost always more than one way to fix concrete, and they don't cost the same. A quote from us comes back with two or three priced options — repair, resurface or replace — with what each one costs and how long each one lasts.

You decide which makes sense for your budget and how long you plan to stay in the house. A single take-it-or-leave-it number hides that choice from you.

How long will the work take?

Most residential repairs and resurfacing jobs are one to two days on site. A porch or steps rebuild is typically two to three days. A full driveway replacement runs three to five days depending on size and how much demolition is involved.

New concrete then needs curing time before it takes weight — we'll tell you exactly how long before you can drive or walk on it, and that timeline is in your quote, not a surprise at the end.

What warranty do you offer?

Every job carries a written warranty, and the terms are in your quote before you sign — not produced afterwards. The length depends on the system: coatings and overlays carry longer coverage than standard repairs.

We also keep photos of every job we complete, which protects you if a question ever comes up about what was there before we started.

What time of year can concrete work be done in Toronto?

Exterior pours and most resurfacing run from roughly May through October, when temperatures stay reliably above freezing. Cold-weather pours are possible with the right precautions but they cost more, and we'll tell you honestly if waiting is the better call.

Interior work — basement floors, garage floors and epoxy coatings — carries on year-round.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. A cracked step, a single sunken slab, one section of walkway — those are normal work for us, not something we push aside for bigger projects. Plenty of our jobs are half-day repairs.

Do you serve my area?

We're based in Mississauga and work across the GTA — Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough, Vaughan, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, Richmond Hill, Pickering, Whitby and Oshawa.

If your city isn't listed, ask anyway — we travel further than the list suggests.

Are you licensed, insured and WSIB covered?

Yes to all three. We carry full liability insurance and every person on our crews is covered by WSIB. Certificates are available on request — ask and we'll send them before work starts.

We also have experience working within City of Toronto and GTA permit requirements and by-laws where a job calls for it.

Do you work with property managers and commercial sites?

Regularly. Warehouse floors, loading docks, plaza sidewalks and curbs, commercial epoxy and full commercial replacement.

We schedule around your operating hours — overnight and weekend work where it's needed — so the site keeps running. See our commercial concrete page for details.
