Repair, resurface or replace?
Nearly every concrete problem falls into one of three buckets. Work out which one you're in before you go any further — it's the difference between a $4,000 job and a $20,000 one.
Repair it
The damage is local — a cracked step, one bad section, a chipped edge. The rest of the concrete is sound and the base underneath hasn't moved.

Spalling, flaking or staining across a wide area, but the slab underneath is structurally fine. A new surface bonded over old concrete, at a fraction of a rebuild.
Concrete resurfacing →Replace it
Broken clean through, sunk because the base washed out, or steps pulling away from the house. Resurfacing here only hides it for a season.
Concrete replacement →Every quote we send prices two or three of these side by side, with what each costs and how long it lasts. You pick — not us.

- You get two or three priced optionsRepair, resurface or replace, with what each costs and how long each lasts. Not one take-it-or-leave-it number. Your price is held 21 days.
- You decide, then we buildNothing is due when you accept the quote. First payment is 50% the day our crew arrives, and 50% when the work is finished and you're happy with it.
What every job includes
- An honest recommendation. We do repair, resurfacing and replacement, so the option we suggest isn't the only thing we're equipped for.
- Written warranty — terms in the quote before you sign, not produced afterwards.
- Photos of every stage so you can see what went in under the finished surface.
- A clean site. Swept, tools gone, nothing left behind at the end of each day.

Common questions
How do I know whether my concrete needs repair or replacement?
The deciding factor is whether the base underneath has moved. Surface damage — spalling, flaking, dusting, hairline cracks — usually means the slab is sound and only the top has gone, which is repair or resurfacing work. If sections have dropped to different heights, if slabs are separated, or if the concrete is broken clean through, the base has failed and replacement is the honest answer. A quick test on a crack: if you can feel a step between the two sides, it's likely structural. Flat across, likely surface.
What's the difference between Graniflex and a concrete overlay?
Both are resurfacing systems bonded over existing concrete. Graniflex is a flexible, seamless system with a decorative aggregate finish and carries a 10-year warranty — it handles freeze-thaw movement better and is what we specify most often for exteriors. A concrete overlay is a cement-based topping, costs less, and carries a 3-year warranty. Both look like new concrete when finished. The choice usually comes down to how long you plan to stay and how much movement the surface sees.
Do you handle small jobs?
Yes. A cracked step, a single sunken slab, one section of walkway — those are normal work for us, not something we push aside for bigger projects. Our smallest projects start around $3,000, and plenty of what we do is half-day repairs.
What time of year can concrete work be done in Toronto?
Exterior pours and most resurfacing run from roughly May through October, when temperatures stay reliably above freezing through the curing period. Cold-weather work is possible with blankets, heated enclosures and mix adjustments, but it costs more and carries more risk — if waiting is the better call we'll say so. Interior work including basement floors, garage floors and epoxy coatings carries on year-round.
Do you provide free quotes?
Yes, and there's no obligation either way. Photo quotes come back within one business day. Site visits are free and we quote within 48 hours of the visit. If you decide not to go ahead, you owe nothing and we won't chase you.
Can commercial work be done without closing the site?
Usually, yes. We stage commercial pours section by section and work overnight or on weekends where a site can't lose access during business hours. On plaza work we sequence it so no storefront is cut off for more than a day. Tell us your operating constraints at the quote stage and we'll build the schedule around them.
Are you licensed, insured and WSIB covered?
Yes to all three. We carry full liability insurance and every person on our crews is covered by WSIB. Certificates are available on request and we send them before work starts. We also have experience working within City of Toronto and GTA permit requirements where a job calls for it.
