Concrete repair · Toronto and the GTA
Cracked, spalling or sunken concrete? Most of it can be repaired.
Steps, walkways, porches, driveways, garage and basement floors repaired properly, for a fraction of what replacement costs. We also resurface and replace, so if your concrete is past repair, we'll tell you that instead of selling you a patch that fails next spring.
Quick answer
Concrete repair fixes damaged concrete without removing it: cracks are routed, filled and sealed; spalled and crumbling edges are rebuilt with bonded repair mortar; sunken slabs are lifted and levelled; and loose or unsafe steps are rebuilt to shape. Toronto Concrete Repairs repairs porches, steps, walkways, driveways, garage and basement floors across Toronto and the GTA, usually in one to two days, at a fraction of the cost of replacement. When the base has failed and repair won't hold, we say so and price replacement honestly alongside it.
Start here
Before anyone quotes you, someone should answer this honestly: can it be repaired, or does it need replacing? Get it wrong one way and you pay for a rebuild you didn't need. Get it wrong the other way and you pay for a repair that fails in a year. Here's how we decide.
Most concrete we look at lands in the left column. When it lands in the right one, we quote replacement honestly alongside the repair so you can see both numbers. And when it's borderline, resurfacing often bridges the gap. We do all three.
What we repair
Our own crews handle every repair below, walkways and sidewalks included. No subcontractors, no "we'll send someone."
Crumbling edges, loose treads, spalling risers and wobbly railings. Repaired in a day, rebuilt when they're past saving.
Cracked, sunken or flaking driveways brought back without a tear out. Most can be saved for far less than a rebuild.
Plaza walkways, curbs, loading docks and warehouse floors. Repaired around your operating hours, with certificates before we start.
Pitting, dusting, oil damage and cracked lips at the door. Fixed first, then coated if you want it.
Dusting slabs, cracks and uneven floors levelled and sealed, ready to finish.
Cracks, spalling and slippery surfaces repaired and finished so they grip when wet.
Real repairs
The same concrete in every pair. Nothing torn out. Our crews, GTA homes.

The process
Prep is the difference between a repair that lasts ten years and one that pops out next spring. Here's what our crews do, and why.
Cracked concrete has a reason: settlement, freeze and thaw, salt, a bad original pour. We find it first, because fixing the symptom without the cause is how repairs fail.
Chip and grind back to sound concrete. Cracks are opened up, not just filled over. Anything loose or crumbling comes out so the repair bonds to solid material.
Bonding primer, then the right repair material for the job: polymer modified mortar for edges and spalls, flexible sealant for moving cracks, foam or slab jacking for sunken sections.
Matched to the surrounding surface so the repair doesn't stand out, then sealed against salt and water so it lasts. Most residential repairs are done in a day.
Why you can trust the diagnosis
A contractor who only does repairs will patch concrete that should be replaced, because that's the only job they can do. A contractor who only pours new concrete will tell you everything needs replacing, because that's the only job they can do.
We do repair, resurfacing and full replacement, in house, with the same crews. The option we recommend isn't the one that pays us more. Every quote comes back with two or three priced options side by side, so you see exactly what each costs and how long each lasts.
Roughly half the concrete we're called out to look at can be repaired. We tell people that, even when it means a smaller job for us.
"They saved me a lot of money by doing the repair to my porch and steps instead of replacing it. Their office staff is great and the workers were super nice to deal with."

We did the concrete repair for our front porch and steps with Toronto Concrete Repair. From the moment I called and spoke with Hubert until the completion of the project, everything went as expected. Hubert took care of everything and I really did not have to chase anything.

The team gave us a set of steps that are both functional and beautiful to look at. People in the area who had seen the first botched job by another company were suitably impressed with the finished work. This is a company that focuses on quality work for a fair price.

We hired Toronto Concrete Repair to fix our driveway that was done by a previous contractor. Toronto Concrete was very efficient and got the job done right away. Thank you so much for your great service!
Questions
More often than people expect, it can be repaired. Surface damage such as spalling, flaking, hairline cracks and staining is usually a repair or resurfacing job at a fraction of the cost of a rebuild. Concrete that has broken clean through, sunk because the base washed out, or steps pulling away from the house is when replacement is the honest answer. We do all three, so our recommendation isn't shaped by what we're set up to do.
It depends on what's damaged and why. A single cracked step is a small job; a sunken slab that needs lifting is a different one. That's why we don't quote flat rates. Text three photos and you'll have a written quote back, usually within one business day, with two or three priced options, repair, resurface or replace, so you can see what each costs and how long each lasts. Price held for 21 days.
A properly done repair on sound concrete typically lasts many years, and it carries a written warranty. The repairs that fail early are the ones done over loose material, over a crack that was never opened up, or on a slab whose base is still moving. Our process removes everything loose, bonds to solid concrete, and fixes the cause, which is why ours hold.
A repair is matched to the surrounding surface as closely as possible, but concrete ages and weathers, so a fresh patch can show against an older slab. If a uniform look matters, resurfacing over the repaired area gives you one new surface. We'll show you both options and what each costs.
Often, yes. If the slab is intact and has settled because the base compacted or washed out, it can be lifted and levelled with foam or slab jacking and the voids underneath filled. If the slab has cracked into pieces as it sank, replacement of that section is the right call. Photos and a site look tell us which.
Most residential concrete repairs are one to two days on site. Cure times before the surface can take foot or vehicle traffic depend on the material and the weather, and they're spelled out in your quote, not a surprise at the end.
Exterior repairs run from roughly April through November, when temperatures stay above the minimums the materials need. Interior work, such as basement floors and garage floors, carries on year round. If your job should wait for warmer weather rather than be done badly in the cold, we'll tell you.
